Collab Mix City started in Santa Barbara in 2013, at 1021 Cliff Drive, 93109 — a room above the ocean.
The reason I started it is that I, Axel Brundin, realized I have a natural ability to connect artists with producers and other creatives. Over the years I have developed the skills, knowledge and experience to do that properly — learned from the industry, and from the people who create and share their passion with the world.
Axel has been on both sides of that gap. As a performing artist he felt how exposed it is to walk into a studio alone, with no leverage and no one translating. As a representative he now stands in that gap on purpose — taking an artist's request to a studio, and making the agreement with the studio on the artist's behalf, so nobody has to negotiate their dream alone.
The mission has not changed since Cliff Drive: connect music, artists and producers so better productions can happen anywhere in the world.
